Demi Moore has signed on for her first movie role since announcing her split from Ashton Kutcher.
The actress will play feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the Amanda Seyfried-starring biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace.
Steinem, a political activist and journalist, was adamantly opposed to pornography and wrote a piece about Lovelace in Ms. Magazine.
Moore is the latest of a slew of big names to join the film, which already includes Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace’s pornographer husband, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth and James Franco, who’s set to make a cameo as Hugh Hefner.
Lovelace is one of two biopics about the Deep Throat star currently underway — Matthew Wilder‘s Inferno, starring Malin Akerman, is slated for a 2013 release.
