Republic Of Molossia , The smallest Country In The World

What makes a territory a republic? Is it a currency, laws or a fearless leader in a snappy uniform? International recognition doesn't hurt anything either, but the first qualities seem a little more attainable for the average micro-nation, and Kevin Baugh and Molossia have all three. Born in 1963, Baugh and a friend were only teenagers when they dreamed up the idea to create their own micro-nation, separate from the United States and governed by their authority.

 Through the early 1990s, the territory was known as the Grand Republic of Vuldstein, but in 1999, the new republic of Molossia was formed with Baugh at the helm as President. With only an acre of territory in arid Nevada, the entire country is comprised of a small home known as the Government House, where Baugh lives with his family and dogs.

Brandon Jacobs on Gisele Bundchen: ‘Just stay cute and shut up’

On Monday we went over the whole Gisele Bundchen Super Bowl thing, in which Tom Brady’s wife was caught on video blaming the Patriots’ receivers for the loss. So during the Giants’ victory parade on Tuesday, of course NY running back Brandon Jacobs was asked what he thought about those quotes.

When Jacobs was asked about that during Tuesday’s festivities at MetLife Stadium, the always-vocal tailback didn’t hesitate to tell Bundchen to keep her mouth shut.
“She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up,” he told reporters.

The Giants’ Osi Umenyiora was a bit more diplomatic.

“I mean she’s supposed to stay out of things like that. But at the end of the day that’s their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.”

Gisele’s been taking her lumps in the Boston media, as well.

Attorney Joesph P DeStefano said: “The Patriots have not won a Super Bowl since Brady’s been with Gisele.
“Sports radio guys in Boston have called Gisele Yoko Ono for years, but now with her comments after the Super Bowl, it’s reached a peak. For example, on WEEI this morning the whole crew mocked her, saying that she should have kept her mouth shut.”
The Boston Herald’s Raakhee Mirchandani described her as “all beauty, little brain.”

Buddhism is different from nearly any other religion in that it doesn’t require a belief in God.
Many Buddhists do believe in God. But the Buddha never answered the question on whether there was a God or not. When asked such questions, the Buddha maintained the Noble Silence. He said they were questions “not tending toward edification.” Meaning that there are questions. like does God exist?, that are not really helpful.
The Buddha instead gave an analogy of a person being shot with an arrow, and there were those that wanted to help remove the arrow. But the wounded person would not remove the arrow until he found out who shot the arrow, where the person came from, why he wanted to shoot him, and other questions that would not help remove his arrow and thus his suffering.
